2. Cleveland Indians: The Indians had an eventful trade deadline, sending notorious pitcher Trevor Bauer to the Reds in a three-team deal for five players, notably Yasiel Puig and Franmil Reyes. While this move seems understandable now, it could hurt them in the long run. Either way, they got an excellent package for the time being. (Photo by Cleveland.com)

3. Atlanta Braves: The Braves badly needed relief pitching, and they spent their trade deadline acquiring three excellent relievers in Shane Greene, Mark Melancon and Chris Martin. A stable organization like the Braves can execute in this manner. (Photo by Detroit Free Press)

1. Trevor Bauer and Yasiel Puig: Both of these players have become memes this past week. Their last games for their respective teams ended in either a bench-clearing brawl or a meltdown on the mound. Hopefully, they can repair their reputation on their new sides. (Photo by WKYC.com)

2. Los Angeles Dodgers: The Dodgers lost the trade deadline not for what they did, but what they didn’t do. The Astros made the move of the year signing Greinke, but the Dodgers decided to do nothing. While the Dodgers are still arguably the best team in baseball, they definitely got a slap in the face from the Astros. (Photo by Fox News)

3. New York Yankees: Like the Dodgers, the Yankees hesitated to pull any triggers this time. However, Aaron Boone and the Yankees are clearly more desperate. They were possibly one or two moves away from a possible World Series, but they sat still. With all their nebulous injury timelines, they definitely could have benefitted from a productive trade deadline. (Photo by the New York Times)
